Lead QA Engineer – Jan 2024 – Present

Promoted to lead QA team to cover a maternity leave and will transition into full time position in August 2024.

  • Lead and mentor a QA team of 10, to develop and execute manual and automated test strategies
  • Streamlined processes by implementing QA best practices and improving regression, smoke and sanity test plans, reducing the change failure rate by over 30%
  • Analyze and collect data on app performance and usage, using tracking tools such as Firebase Crashlytics, New Relic and Mixpanel
  • Manage and maintain, QA automation agile development process in Jira and confluence, by writing out test cases, planning upcoming sprints and maintaining backlog tickets
  • Manage, plan, and deploy weekly mobile and web releases to over 10 million users worldwide, while maintaining a 99.9% or higher crash free experience on across mobile and web applications
  • Collaborated with Principal QA Architect to lead QA team to code over 500 automated regression test cases, which increased release test coverage by over 50%
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, product, marketing and customer-facing teams, by providing current project status and identifying potential risks

Senior QA Engineer – August 2023 – Jan 2024

  • Performed hands on testing through planning and execution of test cases, to ensure that all bugs are isolated and reported
  • Developed defect management process for customer reported bugs, which has allowed the engineering team to reduce turnaround time for critical defects and time to restore service to under 24 hours
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product design teams to create multi-functional tests that ensure all areas have been covered during testing phase and that all stakeholder requirements have been met

Quality Assurance Engineer – July 2020 – August 2023

  • Created and executed manual test cases to identify software problems and their causes, which allowed developers to easily isolate and resolve issues
  • Organized and ran weekly product training on new and existing features for the cross functional teams
  • Provided high level technical help for the customer support to team to quickly isolate and resolve issues raised by customers

  • Designed and implemented a web based interactive kiosk for Saint Mary’s Universities Sport Hall of Fame, using the university archives and online database 
  • Digitized material for the exhibit following archival standards. The material was used for both the kiosk and Saint Mary’s University Archive 
  • Organized and recorded Saint Mary’s University Athletics sport history records and team information in an Excel and Access database for future use 

Exhibition Engagement Assistant – Audain Art Musuem

  • Designed and successfully delivered six weeks of intensive art camps for children of the Whistler area
